Job Description

Training and Events Coordinator required for our professional services client based in Wolverhampton. We have a fantastic new opportunity for an energetic; customer focused and passionate Training and Events Coordinator to join our Policy, Marketing and Communications Team. The vision for this department is to be a dynamic, modern and innovative team that utilises digital methods and new ideas to communicate and engage effectively with businesses.

This will be a role that requires excellent organisational and communication skills, and a good understanding of event management. Our client operates in a B2B landscape so experience in this type of environment would be beneficial. This is an external facing role, so there will be a need to display exceptional customer service skills in this position.

Key duties will include:
• Implementation of a portion of the strategic annual events calendar. From development and implementation through to review.
• Responsibility for the following types of events: Awards, Business Festival Chamber lead, online webinars, seminars, training style workshops and conferences (these will be a mix of internal delivery and using external event companies to deliver).
• To ensure the events and training courses are to the highest standard and consistent for each event/training session we hold.
• Utilise the website and CRM system to enhance the customer journey through the event and training process.
• Facilitation of high quality networking opportunities for local businesses at events.
• Liaison with venues, speakers, trainers, delegates and all other suppliers to deliver an event or training course.
• Encourage members and businesses to attend events.
• To liaise with external event/training contractors to make sure any externally managed events/training courses meet our objectives.
• Work closely with the other departments to ensure successful event/training courses.
• Responsible for the company awards process from applications through to the event (with support from an external provider).
• The day to day contact for the Black Country Business Festival with the external event company that deliver the Festival.
• Responsible for the delivery of Training courses, this will include our Leadership Programmes, Masterclasses, Export training and any future training courses that are implemented.

Experience required
• Previous experience within Event and training implementation experience of 2 years plus in a B2B environment, with excellent networking skills. (preferable)
• Embraces and identifies new ideas, with an understanding of the digital landscape.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Ability to liaise with all external suppliers/contacts.
• Works well in a team and across functions.
• Full driving license and access to a car.
• Enthusiastic and positive individual with a can-do attitude.

Salary & benefits Package:
• £21k -27k per annum dependent on experience
• 25 days per year plus public holidays
• Company Pension scheme 6% contribution based
• Death in Service Insurance – 3 x gross salary

Working Hours:
Our standard hours of work are 35 per week. This role requires some flexibility in response to business requirements including the need to attend some meetings outside normal office hours.
