Job Description

IT Technical Lead required. Reporting to the Group IT Manager based in Redditch, UK you will provide 2nd / 3rd line support to all computers users within our business and support the Group IT Manager with projects/issues across the group companies. Investigate & propose improvements to the business infrastructure and work alongside IT team on infrastructure & standardisation projects.
You may be required to travel to other group sites to assist in projects, this travel will be planned and notice will be given.

Analyse & Requirements
• Co-ordinate the identification of system enhancements or changes effecting the computer operation within our company and present proposals in a clear and professional manner.
• Benchmark, analyse, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.

• Deliver a high quality and responsive business systems service to the company.
• Ensure that the company's IT resources operate efficiently, securely and that system availability is maximised.
• Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Ensure a full asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment across our business is kept up to date
• Research potential technology solutions to improve company processes

• Assist users and departments concerning system enhancements. Work with users to define, refine and diagnose problems. Propose new procedures, develop systems & document processes in line with user’s requirements.
• Ensure that all business system users are suitably conversant with current systems applications and to identify and implement appropriate training as required.
• Provide support to all sites & remote workers on any IT related issues

• Attend technical / system user groups on behalf of the company
• Work closely with the Group IT Manager on projects
• Ensure that all key business processes are clearly defined, adhered to and make maximum use of the company's investment in IT resources.
• Provide technical assistance as necessary to other members of the IT team.

Essential skills required:
• Similar IT support roles of a minimum of 5 years with at least 2 years at 3rd line support
• Microsoft qualification or similar
• Project Management experience
• Management & support of Microsoft Server 2008 -> 2016
• Excellent knowledge & experience of Windows Server Environments including but not limited to;
o Active Directory (Inc GPO, Sites & Services)
o Print services
• Exchange 2008/12
• Knowledge of MS SQL 2012/16
• Management of VMWare environments, ideally VMWare 5.5 & above
• Dell hardware including
o Servers
o SANs
o Network switches
• Veeam backup solution
• Experience of supporting manufacturing applications such as;
o Radan
o AutoCAD (LT & Inventor)
o ProgeCAD
• Mitel Phone Systems
• Sophos / Malwarebytes or equivalent managed AV solution

Salary guide: £35,000 -£37,500
