This is a unique opportunity with unlimited potential for the right person to join a well established company who are a leading manufacturer & distributor of engineering & electronics solutions. Based in Brierley Hill, West Midlands, my client is looking to recruit an experienced Technical Sales Consultant. Our client designs, prototypes and manufactures a large range of bespoke electromechanical products for customers nationwide and from a variety of different industries.

The role will be predominantly looking after an established client base and increasing sales within these customers. You will also be required to develop new client relationships and potential new customers. You will be expected to work closely with the Directors on product and customer familiarisation. However, you must be capable of working independently and must want the challenge of achieving sales growth with new customers and new products and have a strong technical field sales background previously within the electromechanical industry.

Key Accountabilities
• Maintain and develop existing and new customer relationships using your technical. expertise and communication skills to develop customer confidence and interest.
• Specify products to existing & new clients.
• Account management of contracts, dealing with day to day issues.
• Business development of existing customers.
• Formulate and implement effective marketing and sales plans.
• Follow up on calls and appointments.
• Have the ability to pursue sales from first contact to successful order placement.
• Travel throughout the UK to develop client relationships.
Attributes:
• Previous experience of selling electronic engineering solutions to a wide range of process industries
• Have a good standard of technical knowledge, preferably in electrical or process engineering.
• Able to work independently and use own initiative.
• Be sales driven with a proven track record in Technical Sales.
• Present excellent written, verbal communication and personal interaction skills.
• Display imagination, enthusiasm, optimism, persistence and flexibility.
• Electronics knowledge essential
• Have a full, clean UK Driving Licence.

Salary on offer is £20,000 - £25,000 basic + Company Car, Mobile and Expenses.
